About Us

We began our journey when a few brave souls got the wild-assed idea that Historic Front Royal, with its vibrant outdoor culture, real people, and appreciation of everything unpretentious, was a natural beer town. Over a few brews, our founders decided to invest their time and resources to make great beer and food a reality. After many false starts and a few near-death experiences, we opened our doors in 2018 as Front Royal Brewing Company.

Becoming popular with local residents and tourists alike and through successful distribution in Northern Virginia, we have outgrown our production capability in Vibrissa’s original Front Royal location. Thus, we start the next chapter in our journey. In order to appeal to and serve a wider customer base, we have changed our name to Vibrissa Beer and added a second location in Winchester, Virginia which opened September, 2022. 

Vibrissa’s Winchester location is right near the walking mall in Historic Old Town Winchester.  It is a growing area with a rabid beer culture and a fun and vibrant community. We found a great facility. The former Winchester Star Building, once home to a thriving newspaper business, is a natural place for a brewery! Vibrissa, Winchester contains a large production capability with an expansive taproom and restaurant as well as a hip and vibrant beer garden. We will continue to expand our distribution reach. Thus, you will soon be able to find Vibrissa beer throughout the entire state of Virginia and beyond. Come join us on our journey!
